We’re back with our third Peach Scout review, and this time we’re trying “Granddaddy Purps” from Botanical Sciences. This one comes as a disposable vaporizer under their STATE brand. The dispensary had two versions available (PIXI and Pairo Pro) and we picked up the PIXI as it was described to us as the “ceramic coil option.” It was also a bit more expensive.

The Pixi vape pen we received was compact in size, black in color, and had clear windows on both sides so you could see how much “peach sauce” is left in the cart. The other version, the Pairo Pro) is a bit more “pen like” and comes in white. If you like keep two vape carts on hand it could be handy as ir features built in magnets that let you attach to Pairo Pro carts together. To me the magnets seem perfect for a fridge door. I have not used the Pairo Pro, but I look forward to trying it in the future.

Botanical Sciences really came out of the gate swinging on July 1st with multiple flower and vape options. I wasn’t ultimately able to figure out exactly how many different flower and vape offerings they had on Day 1 of SB220 (as they sold out of flower before I arrived after work), but it was an impressive amount of options. They’re also the only dispensary that I’m aware of that offered two different disposable vape heating elements to choose from with the same strain on July 1st.

The employees at the Botanical Sciences Marietta location were so incredibly helpful and friendly. They’d clearly had a big day by the time I arrived on July 1st, but everyone still had big smiles on their faces and were efficiently helping everyone.

The Cart:

This PIXI 1g disposable vape is small, simple, and easy to hold. There are no buttons on it at all. It can be recharged via USB-C.

There’s no branding or writing on the outside of the vape anywhere. No words. No graphics. If I had bought two different strains from Botanical Sciences and they both came in this same black, nondescript vape cartridge, it would be easy to forget which was which. We hope that with time they’ll be able to add some graphics that tells folks what strain is in the vape cart. It looks like both vape pens can be branded, so thay may come in time.

The cart has clear windows on both sides so you can easily see how much “peach sauce” remains inside. A peek inside the little windows shows no cloudiness of the cart I bought. No separation either.

This is a straightforward disposable vape with a compact profile.

Vapor:

This vape produces a good amount of vapor. It’s cloudy and dense, and the ceramic coil has been consistent as I’ve tried it. Smooth pulls. No quick or pesky clogging. The device hasn’t gotten hot on me (there’s nothing worse than a vape cart that gets too hot on your lips quickly).

To be honest, this doesn’t feel as premium as the Fine Fettle glass vape that we reviewed recently, but there’s nothing wrong with this lil guy from our perspective.

Smell:

I don’t get much nose from this disposable vape when it isn’t in use. Maybe a bit of earthiness and a faint fuel-like note, but that’s a stretch. The aroma doesn’t stand out the way “Green Crack” did.

Taste:

My first reaction was that the first pull was a bit harsh. The cart pulls easy, but it made us cough a little, especially compared to Fine Fettle cart I recently reviewed. Once you get past that, there’s a super slight berry‑like sweetness in the front that’s mostly lost to earthy and fuel-like notes on the backend.

I tried this indica disposable vape before heading outside to sit on the porch for a while. It was one of those warm Georgia summer evenings where the air feels soft and the owls start calling out a bit early. This “Granddaddy Purps” disposable vape was part of that nice winding down moment after a long day.

Lab Notes:

Total THC comes in at 80.832 percent, with total cannabinoids at 86.61 percent. CBC, CBG, and CBN all show up in small amounts. THCA is listed at 1.43 percent. The COA shows no CBD, CBDV, CBDA, CBGA, or THCV detected.

The vape contaminants section shows no Vitamin E acetate and no diacetyl. Residual solvents were not detected. The pesticide panel showed no hits except for Piperonyl Butoxide at 318.79 ppb. Mycotoxins and microbial tests were all not detected. Foreign materials were listed as negative.

Mercury shows up at 16.32 ppb. Chromium shows up at 35.98 ppb. The COA shows no other heavy metals detected, and all heavy metals were well within the limits detailed on the lab report.

“Granddaddy Purps” from Botanical Sciences is a straightforward indica disposable vape with a ceramic coil that has performed consistently for me so far. The vapor is dense, and the hardware has worked for me without clogging or getting too hot. The flavor has a tiny little berry sweetness up front and a stronger earthy finish. It wasn’t my cup of tea, but there’s no shade here from me. I’m just saying that I’d probably explore other options from Botanical Sciences next time.
